Usage, Safety & Precaution Guidelines

Pierre Bébé

The Pierre Bébé structured baby carrier is suitable for use from birth (from 3.2 kg) up to 20 kg.
The product has been tested and approved in accordance with the European safety standard:
EN 13209-2:2015 – Safety requirements for soft carrier baby carriers.

Safety Guidelines for Use

Ensure your baby is positioned at the correct height-close enough to kiss.

The carrier should be securely tightened so your baby is held snugly against your body, stable and supported, with their arms inside the carrier and unable to shift position independently.

Always ensure your baby’s airways remain clear and unobstructed.

Check that your baby’s hips are positioned in the “M” position (knees higher than the hips).

Ensure your baby’s spine maintains a natural “C” curve.

Wearing Instructions

For detailed wearing instructions and proper usage guidance, please refer to the instruction manual available on the “Instructions” page on our website.

Cleaning & Care

Wash the carrier separately, either by hand or on a delicate cycle at up to 30°C (86°F).

Do not tumble dry.

Air dry in the shade only.

For full washing and care instructions, please refer to the “Instructions” page on our website.

Important Warnings

Extra care should be taken when using the carrier with premature babies, low birth weight infants, or babies with medical or respiratory conditions.
It is recommended to consult a qualified healthcare professional before first use.

During use, always ensure your baby’s face is visible and not covered.
Maintain at least a one-finger-width space between your baby’s chin and chest to prevent airway restriction.

Your baby’s head should be positioned close to your collarbone, with their body placed above your navel.
If not, the carrier may be too loose and should be adjusted accordingly.

The correct fit of the carrier is determined by the wearer’s body, not the baby’s size.

Continuously monitor your baby’s breathing during use.
If it is not calm and regular, remove your baby and reposition them according to the guidelines.

Always ensure your baby is securely positioned in the carrier in a way that eliminates any risk of falling.

At the end of use, hold your baby firmly before removing them from the carrier.

For first-time use, it is recommended to practice with the assistance of another adult in a safe environment (such as near a bed or mattress).

Wear flat, comfortable shoes while using the carrier to reduce the risk of slipping or imbalance.

Liability

Pierre Bébé is not liable for any injury or damage resulting from improper use of the carrier or failure to follow the provided safety instructions and warnings.
